Ana Gorjanc (SLO)
Guitarist Ana Gorjanc (2000) began her musical journey at the Kranj Music School under the guidance of Prof. Nataša Bogataj. Already in primary school, she started performing at various concerts and competitions, receiving top prizes, for which she was awarded the Grand Prize of the Kranj Music School. After enrolling at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana, she continued her musical path under the tutelage of Prof. Igor Saje. Demonstrating her excellence as a guitarist, she garnered top awards at competitions both domestically and internationally and performed numerous concerts. She was also awarded the Škerjanec Prize for her achievements during her studies at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. Additionally, she is a recipient of the Young Talents grant from Triglav Insurance Company. In July, she completed her Bachelor’s studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Vigo, Spain, under the guidance of Prof. Margarita Escarpa, and participated in an Erasmus+ exchange program in the class of Prof. Laura Young at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Throughout her years of study, she received two first prizes at the TEMSIG competition, as well as numerous awards at competitions in Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, Montenegro, and Croatia, both as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles. In addition to competitions, she has performed and recorded several concerts, including collaborations with the Ljubljana Music Youth and RTV Slovenia, and as a soloist with the symphony orchestra of the Kranj Music School. In the past year, as a soloist, she achieved first prize at the Giovanni Musicisti competition in Treviso, second prize at the Velespaña competition (2023), first prize at the TEMSIG competition (2024), and performed a concert at Egta’s Day. She also collaborates with guitarist Staš Čakš in the duo AdArt, with whom she received two third prizes in the past year - at the competitions Zé Gregorio in Lagoa, Portugal, and Altamira in Gorizia, Italy, and performed a concert at Rok's Summer (2023). Currently, she is pursuing Master’s studies at the Mozarteum in the class of Prof. Laura Young.
